Sales and Marketing Assistant

Job description Overview

Port Boat House is an industry leading dealership for Yamaha Outboards, ATVs, SxS’s, Ranger/Cutwater Boats, G3 Boats and North River Boats. We have been in business for over 40 years and are continually growing.

We are looking to add a Sales and Marketing Assistant to our Port Alberni team. While no marine experience is required preference will be given to individuals who enjoy the marine/motorsports industry. If you have a passion for boats, fishing, or recreational vehicles this is the place for you to start your career.

Job Description

  • Performing administrative tasks such as answering phones, and greeting clients.
  • Providing customer service by answering questions about products or services
  • Maintaining relationships with current customers by providing them with product information and promotional offers
  • Preparing proposals for new business marketing opportunities and managing existing marketing accounts
  • Preparing marketing materials such as brochures, fliers, catalogs, and managing online marketing for our websites
  • Collecting and analyzing data about customer preferences and buying habits for targeted marketing purposes
  • Developing and executing marketing strategies for specific products or services
  • Assisting with the day to day operations of the sales dept.
  • Understand and communicate the features and benefits of products and services to potential customers
  • Develop creative sales strategies to increase product visibility and customer engagement
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including but not limited to developing promotional materials, coordinating events, and managing social media content
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and target markets
  • Generate leads through cold-calling, networking, and other means of outreach
  • Update and maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
  • Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure a coordinated and cohesive sales and marketing approach
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events as needed
  • Provide administrative support to the sales and marketing team as needed
  • Perform any other duties as assigned


  • Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
  • MS Office experience
  • Strong experience with Facebook, and Instagram
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Ability to multitask in and establish priorities in a busy environment
  • A positive attitude and helping mindset
  • An eye for detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
